Lauren Bick is a postgraduate student currently studying the MSc in Information and Library Studies course at the University of Strathclyde. She is currently conducting dissertation research into the library services offered to disabled people in public libraries across Scotland and is interested in gaining the opinions from disabled people about the accessibility of library buildings, resources, collections and services.
Lauren is looking to compare the results of these surveys to a similar one sent via email to librarians, and also to answers received from Freedom of Information (FOI) requests sent to every local authority to gain an overall insight into how accessible Scotland’s public libraries are.
If you would like to share your thoughts and/or experiences, please click the link to the survey which is provided below, and which should take no longer than 20 minutes to complete:

All responses will be treated confidentially and no personal details such as names or email addresses will be asked for. Your opinions and feedback will be greatly appreciated.
