Information Session on the proposed changes to Building Standards

SDEF invites you to an information session on the Scottish Building Standards Agency (SBSA) Consultation on Access And Usability Of Buildings. It will be held on April 26, 2006 at Beancross, Falkirk.

 The session will include an introductory talk on the implications for disabled people and will be followed by a more in-depth briefing by Stephen Scott from SBSA

 Standards cover facilities in dwellings such as functional standards apartment, kitchens, activity spaces, access to other rooms and drying facilities; sanitary facilities; access to buildings including car parking, thresholds; and accessible routes; stairs and ramps; electrical fixtures; and windows and glazing

The session will finish with a discussion on the building standards and will form part of the SDEF response to the consultation.
