Ryanair has been chucked out of the National Deafblind Friendly Corporate
Awards, organised by Sense and Deafblind UK, following its decision to eject
nine blind and partially sighted passengers from a flight to Italy.
See full story. The airline had reached the last three in the travel
and transport category, but the deafblind judges decided to disqualify its
nomination after the incident.
The award instead went to Kerstin Coult, a customer service assistant for
Network Rail at Paddington station in London.
