|
The Guardian is delighted to announce the launch of the Guardian Charity
Awards 2005. The awards offer a valuable opportunity to recognise and
celebrate the importance of the charity sector, rewarding small charities
for their contribution to social welfare in the community. This year
we aim to identify those organisations that are making truly outstanding
contributions to society as a whole. Charities with an income of less than 1million are eligible to apply and the closing date for entries is Wednesday 7 September at 5.00pm. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony hosted by Nat West and The Royal Bank of Scotland, main sponsors of the awards. Each of the five winners will receive a cheque for 6,000 courtesy of Nat West and The Royal Bank of Scotland and a brand new PC courtesy of smartchange. We hope to increase the awareness of the awards and therefore reach as many charities as possible by distributing the entry form further a field. The form can be downloaded online at www.societyguardian.co.uk/charityawards Should you require any further details please contact Lyndsey Donald on 020 7239 9963.
