Accessible public conveniences in Scotland SDEF has conducted a survey of accessible public conveniences in Scotland provided by local authorities and public bodies. Organisations have been encouraged to post details of toilet facilities on their websites. Where no information has been made available SDEF has contacted those concerned to push for better information provision. Some Access Panels have also included information on accessible public conveniences in local access guides, some of which appear on individual access panel websites.

National Trust for Scotland RADAR National Key Scheme The National Key Scheme (NKS) offers independent access to disabled people to around 7,000 locked public toilets around the country. RADAR would like all providers of accessible toilets to keep their toilets unlocked if at all possible. The NKS is suggested for use only if the provider concerned has to keep the toilets locked to stop vandalism and misuse. RADAR makes no profit in supplying keys but needs to make a small charge to cover the costs of supply. Keys can usually be obtained from local Shopmobility schemes or from RADAR.
